We are hiring a Part Time Host / Retail & Butcher Sales Associate.
Role Overview
The Host reports to the Management Team. You are responsible for setting the tone of the dining experience from the moment a guest walks through the door.
This is a dual role. In addition to managing the door and guest flow, you will support our retail and butcher counter operations, assisting guests with product selection, weighing and packaging meat, and processing retail sales.
You must be kind, organized, and genuinely interested in food and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet incoming and departing guests warmly and professionally
- Manage reservations, walk ins, and overall guest flow
- Provide accurate wait times and support pacing of the room
- Operate reservation system and manage phone inquiries
- Seat guests thoughtfully and support service flow
- Support the team by running food and clearing/resetting tables when needed
- Assist guests at the retail and butcher counter
- Understand and speak confidently about cuts of meat and our whole animal butchery program
- Weigh, package, label, and process retail transactions accurately through POS
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked host and retail areas

Health & Safety
- Work safely in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations
- Follow safe food handling and sanitation standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work extended shifts and remain on your feet for the majority of the day
- Comfortable carrying food and retail product
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable climbing a ladder to access stock when required
- Comfortable working indoor dining and outdoor patio service with exposure to heat, cold, sun, rain, and wind
Qualifications
- Customer service experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
- Interest in food and hospitality required
- Comfortable learning about meat cuts and whole animal butchery
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Professional and courteous demeanor during busy times
- Evening and weekend availability required
Position Details
- Part Time position
- Compensation is $17.60 per hour
- Weekend availability required Scheduling varies based on service and retail volume
